26th Annual Raise the Sails Gala!
on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at 6:30PM
at the beautiful and prestigious Liberty Hotel Ballroom.
The evening includes a masked-themed gala with an open beer and wine bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, silent and live auction, raffles, dancing and more, to support CBI's junior and accessible sailing programs. In addition, Community Boating is celebrating its 70th Anniversary since incorporation in 1946 as a nonprofit public sailing center.
Once the Charles Street Jail, this converted hotel is situated in the heart of Beacon Hill and is a key sponsor of this event, donating the space. The generosity of the Liberty Hotel ensures that the bulk of the proceeds of this event will directly support our Junior and Universal Access Programs.

When & Where
Community Boating serves the metropolitan Boston Community by enhancing the overall quality of city life. The scope of our organization encompasses a diverse population. Annually Community Boating serves roughly 1,500 juniors, 3,000 adults, 300 universal access sailors, and 250 high school sailors from over 30 towns and communities in the metropolitan Boston area. Many of our members are residents of Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods. On the larger scale though, thousands of people worldwide have learned how to sail at CBI. Our Junior members span all economic levels and ethnic groups.
