Forest ReLeaf of Missouri is once again offering free monthly tours of our nursery, CommuniTree Gardens, located in Creve Coeur Park.
CommuniTree Gardens Nursery is home to more than 120 different species or cultivars of species, over 95% of which are native Missouri. Attendees will learn tree identification, explore how rain gardens attract wildlife and cut costs, and see examples of species that thrive in hard to grow areas.
CommuniTree Gardens has been named an official Monarch Waystation certified by the Monarch Watch and has also earned GOLD level certification for St. Louis Audubon Society’s Bring Conservation Home Program.
The greenhouse, rain garden and wildflower garden feature over 55 species of native plants, many grown from seed collected and donated by volunteers. The nursery boasts over 22,000 container trees currently under cultivation.
Come explore this hidden treasure of St. Louis and learn how YOU can re-green your corner of the world.
*Nursery tours are held weather depending; we advise you to use you best judgment. If there is very light rain, the tour may still be held. If there is inclement weather or any severe weather warning, please assume that the tour has been canceled for that month.
