Event description

Description

Bias, poverty, and social isolation have cost the United States more than 1 million additional employer businesses and approximately 9.5 million more jobs, according to the Kauffman Foundation. Entrepreneurs in low income communities of color encounter barriers to start business, even though it is a proven way to create jobs, accumulate wealth, and grow leadership. Impact Hub Seattle invites you to join an innovative program called "Communities for Change" to work on this complex social issue in February/March 2018.

We are proud to announce that MIT’s Presencing Institute will be our partner in this journey. They will provide their expertise in the application of uLab, a change process that is part innovation, part personal leadership program. While we will focus our attention locally, we will connect with 7 other Impact Hubs across the globe who will also be simultaneously experiencing their own Communities for Change process.

If you would like to be among the up to 25 individuals representing a broad range of disciplines, organizations, backgrounds, and experiences who will join us in on this journey, please join us on January 8, 2018 for an introductory info session! Please visit our website for more information about what participation entails and time commitment.
