Event description

Description

Do you feel like your boss, your team, your peers just don't seem to understand you?

Do you have trouble communicating progress on a project?

Do you feel like critical conversations seem to be happening around you, but you aren't participating like you should?

We've got a workshop for that.

You are judged by the way you communicate. In fact, employers often cite the lack of communication skills as a reason for employees poor performance. If you are going to lead others successfully, then you need to be able to break through bad communication habits and both send and receive information effectively.

Who should attend? Whether you are an individual contributor, a team manager, entrepreneur or executive, these tools and techniques will help you avoid failed communications. Both verbal and written communications will be covered. If you find yourself talking one to one or in groups, you will learn how to master these situations and get your point across.

In our workshop you will learn:

  • The Three Elements of Communication that go wrong when they are not properly managed
  • How to avoid "cross communicating," a model for effective conversations
  • The Art of Active Listening that will keep you from being blindsided.
  • How and when to switch channels, using email when it works, face to face when it won't
  • The Power of Inquiry - Great Questions get Great Results
  • How to Lead a Meeting without Losing Control

This is a professionally facilitated session.
