Communications & Marketing for Student Retention & Recruitment

Strategic ongoing communications and marketing are key to retaining and recruiting students. With increasing competition for students, even the most sought-after schools understand the need for effective marketing efforts, and powerful internal and external communications to meet enrollment goals.

So how does a school organize a plan for managing their website, brand, social media, internal communications, crisis communications, advertising, content creation, publications, blogs and more? You will leave this symposium with new skills, fresh ideas, and practical tools to create and implement your own strategic communications and marketing plan to maintain and increase enrollment.

Ellie Holte will lead this presentation. Ellie is the Director of Outreach and Community Engagement with Northeast Art & Science Polytechnic, a new charter high school opening in September 2018. Ellie brings over 20 years of experience with Minnesota public, and international private not-for-profit schools. In addition to her background with charter schools - in both the school and authorizing space - she worked for 9 years in international school strategic communications, admissions and marketing in Qatar, China, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cambodia.
