Effective Communication Strategies for Mentoring & Youth Development Professionals
Learning to communicate more effectively is not simply about resolving conflicts; it's about enhancing relationships and working towards a common purpose. With greater communication comes deeper connection and understanding. Did you know that 80% of problems in the workplace are due to communication issues? The ability to effectively communicate is one of the most powerful tools for success.
The goal of this online, interactive workshop is to learn strategies to effectively communicate ideas promote active listening skills and encourage positive dialogue and feedback in order to accomplish organizational goals more timely and efficiently and help us align to our programmatic mission.
Workshop Facilitator
Dr. Robina Wright-Alexander holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership and a MBA in Management. She possesses 27 years of customer service and IT management experience. Dr. Wright - Alexander has extensive experience in working with youth programming, most notably, as a mentor for 6 years.
Dr. Wright - Alexander has created and facilitated a host of leadership development trainings including topics around: team building and motivation, conflict resolution, creative problem solving, motivating self and others, email etiquette, and the process of building effective teams. She specializes in team building, emotional, social, and cultural intelligence and employee engagement. Dr. Wright-Alexander recently started a consulting firm, Inspire Change Consulting Group focusing on Human Capital Development and Cultural Transformation. Her passion is to help organizations reach their goals by focusing on developing strong leaders and competent employees, eliminating the barriers, and implementing strategies for lasting success.
