For professional success and personal well-being, it is essential to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Communicate in ways that are positive and civil.
- Get your ideas heard while building collaboration and respect.
- Overcome misunderstandings and miscommunication.
- Learn and respect perspectives that are different from your own.
- Deal with difficult or rude people.
Speakers: Dr. Shannon Roper, Associate Professor of Communications, Marist College and Dr. JoAnne Myers, Associate Professor of Political Science, Marist College.

Directions to the site:
Take 9G north to Hyde Park. There will be signs on the right hand side of 9G for Val-Kill. Turn right at the sign onto Valkill Park Road. Turn left onto the side road that leads to the Center. You can park in the lot next to the Center. Please note that this is the NOT Eleanor Roosevelt's home which is further down the road near the pond.
