Event description

Description

You're in the Outdoor City now, comms person, and that means you can start the day the Sheffield way, with a reyt healthy run around some of the city's amazing urban landscape, taking in some of our great rock and roll history while you're on the move.

Led by SheffComms very own Mr Laurie 'Loz' Harvey, this is a nice Comms Camp Five Miler taking in the best of Sheff, including, for Pulp and Arctic Monkey fans, stops at the Wicker, the building Jarvo fell out of, Park Hill & Mowbrary Street where the Arctics recorded Mardy Bum. It also takes in Lady’s Bridge as beloved by Mr Richard Hawley.

You will also go past the very house where the inventor of the font Impact lived. It’s Chuck D’s favourite font and a massive comms person must!

It's a fairly flat run, over very few hills and it will end up at top class breakfasterie, Tamper. So bring a card> You don't want tbe running all that way being smacked inthe upper thigh by change now, do you?

The run will start at Sheffield Station and finish at Tamper Coffee for breakfast, and we reckon on 10 minute miles plus photostops at Park Hill, Arts Tower, Peace Gardens?

Route/speeds subject to change due to abilities!

Are we indebted to marvellous sponsors and supporters of #commscampnorth?

We absolutely are. We doff a cap and raise a glass to these fine people without who this wouldn't go ahead. Seek them out. They are all good people.
