Gene Schleppenbach is a partner in the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice and is Co-Chair of the Government Contracts Practice. He represents clients ranging from early-stage to Fortune 500 companies in diverse industries concerning a variety of corporate, high-tech and intellectual property matters. His corporate experience includes representing clients on formation and structure issues, corporate governance, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions (domestic and international), restructurings, securities regulation issues, partnership and LLC matters, joint ventures, commercial contracts, debt and equity financings, including private equity, venture capital and angel financings, employee stock option plans and executive compensation agreements.
Buddy A. Meyer – Associate Attorney, Miles and Stockbridge
Buddy A. Meyer represents public and private clients in corporate transactions and general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and a variety of financing transactions, including both debt and equity financings. Before joining Miles & Stockbridge, Buddy was an associate in the Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP where he represented banks, financial institutions, and commercial borrowers in a variety of financial transactions, including secured and unsecured senior credit facilities, asset-based loans, investment grade financings, domestic and cross-border syndicated loans, and acquisition finance. After law school, he worked with Paul Hastings LLP representing public and private businesses in a variety of corporate transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Brent Solomon is an independent CFO advisor and a professor for the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland teaching business and valuation analysis and fair value measurement and reporting. Mr. Solomon provides strategic CFO advisory and valuation and transaction advisory services for venture capital/private equity fund sponsors, a public REIT, and businesses involved in technology/government contracting, media/entertainment and other industries. Mr. Solomon retired in 2016 from CohnReznick after 17 years as a Partner and National Director for the Valuation and Transaction Advisory Group (VTAG). Mr.Solomon served as a member for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) ABV Examination Committee and the AICPA’s Fair Value Measurements & Reporting Conference Steering Committee, is a member of the Valuation Committee for the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and the REIS reporting standards committee. He is also the founder and Chair for the DC/MD/VA Chapter of the Association of Merger & Acquistion Advisors (AM&AA), which focuses on supporting professionals who focus on middle market mergers and acquisitions.
