The Los Angeles Urban League, in partnership with the California Business Roundatable, has commissioned the University of California, Los Angeles Luskin School of Public Affairs to examine California's business climate to better understand the impact of a struggling economy on urban communities.
The Los Angeles Urban League will convene a dynamic cross section of business leaders, nonprofit organizations, elected officials, community leaders and neighborhood stakeholders in a series of Community Forums.

Urban Communities Up-Close
This discussion will focus on the economic recovery in communities throughout Los Angeles. UCLA Professor Matt Drennan, Ph.D. and Research Associate Taner Osman will take a micro-level look at how unemployment rates, personal family income and socioeconomic characteristics are impacting local economic performance. This comprehensive analysis will examine industry growth and decline in different neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles and explain why some areas are faring better than others.
