Description

Join local Earth Day host, the Commerical Park Advisory Council, and register to be an Earth Day volunteer at Commerical Park! Please register by April 12th so we can count you in for supplies. Registration will continue the day-of and you are welcome to attend without pre-registration.

The Friends of the Parks (FOTP) Chicagoland Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean-Up and Celebration began 30 years ago as a way to engage communities in their local parks and forest preserves. Today, FOTP partners with a multitude of other groups including the Chicago Park District, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, and many community and volunteer organizations.

The 30th Annual Chicagoland Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in parks throughout the Chicago area. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there will be a celebration at Humboldt Park (including games and activities for all ages)! All Chicagoland Earth Day volunteers are welcome to attend.

MEETING LOCATION: The day will begin at Commercial Park and then volunteers will move to Honore Park, Superior Park and Snowberry Park. Volunteers can return to Commercial Park at noon for a thank you BBQ!
