Comics’ Amazing Worlds! (Wallonie-Bruxelles / Embassy of Belgium)
Event Information
About this Event
Aurélie Wilmet is a young comic book author from Brussels. After her bachelor in illustration at the art school Saint-Luc in Brussels, she studied speculative narration at the ERG. Aurélie published her first graphic novel “Rorbuer” last year for which she received the 2020 Award of the First Comic Book from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. The story of Rorbuer is entirely visual, as there are no dialogues, and can therefore move anyone.
Vincent Zabus is a Belgian scriptwriter from Namur, Wallonia. Vincent writes comic and children’s books, but also plays. With the French drawer Hippolyte, he recently published “Incroyable !”, for which they both received the “Prix Rossel de la bande dessinée” in 2020. Vincent is currently working on a new comic book which will be translated into English.
The online discussion will be moderated by the French author and journalist Philippe Ungar.
How to proceed: You will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. In order to access the panel discussion, you will receive another email from the Embassy of Belgium with the link to the online platform.
