Event description

Description

Telling stories through narrative illustrations and words is a centuries-old art that continues to thrive everywhere — including D.C., where there are a number of comic art practitioners. Some do it only as a private passion, while others manage to get paid for their creative endeavors. Join us on March 12 to enjoy free food from our sponsors Stellina Pizzeria and Insomnia Cookies and free drinks, as we dive into the local comic scene to learn what motivates artists, how they find ways to make money, and where the industry is headed.

We are excited to welcome Michael Rhode as our moderator for this panel. Michael is the author, publisher and owner of ComicDC as well as dozens of other comic journals, books, bibliographies and blogs. Much of his work can be found in the Library of Congress in the "Michael Rhode collections". Michael's complete biography can be found here.

***An ASL interpreter will provided at this event.
