Description

Provoke & Inspire Richmond

Come&Live! presents Provoke & Inspire - a worldwide series of seminars designed to awaken and empower artists, creators, and influencers to reach and disciple the Global Youth Culture for Jesus.

WHO IS THIS SEMINAR FOR?

Artists, creators, and influencers of every kind - anyone who wants to use their God-given creative gifts and platform to reach the Global Youth Culture for Jesus.

WHY DOES THIS SEMINAR MATTER?

The emerging Global Youth Culture, connected by consumerism, social media, and the entertainment industry, forms the largest global culture ever to exist. It spans the globe, embracing the same values, listening to the same music, subscribing to the same YouTube channels, and following the same influencers on social media.

This global culture is largely influenced by one predominant worldview – Secular Humanism – which affirms that God is irrelevant and man is at the center. In this relativistic culture, we are god and consumerism is our religion.

Today's global youth believe the Church to be irrelevant to their day-to-day lives - a dead, empty tradition of the past. They need to know the real Jesus.

As Christian creatives and influencers, we have a voice to impact the Global Youth Culture. This world needs artists who will use their God-given talent to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ outside of the Church!

WITH PROVOKE & INSPIRE PODCAST REGULARS:

DAVID PIERCE

David Pierce is the founder of Steiger International. He is a gifted proclamation evangelistic, dynamic speaker, and visionary. In the early 1980s, at the height of the European punk rock movement, David Pierce started a Bible study on a barge called Steiger 14 behind Central Station in Amsterdam, Holland, reaching disenfranchised young people of that city. It was there that his band No Longer Music (NLM) was also born, as a tool to communicate the Gospel of Jesus to young people who would never step foot into a church. Since then, David has taken the message of Jesus all over the world and seen many thousands find Jesus.

CHAD JOHNSON

In December of 2005, Chad was living in Seattle as a successful Christian music industry guy, climbing a great career ladder - but, he was also living in sin. Addicted to drugs, pornography, and himself, he struggled to love Jesus, let alone anyone else. While driving to the office one day, God powerfully met him. Chad sensed Him asking a question while simultaneously breaking through his hardness of heart - “Why are you fighting me?” Right there, during the morning rush hour traffic, Chad broke down crying, confessing his sin and asking Jesus to give him the kind of story He wanted to write over his life. One part impassioned and three parts foolish, Chad cashed out his 401(k), gold plaques, and record collection, and launched a missions community called Come&Live!, radically rewiring his priorities and focus in the process.

BEN PIERCE

For over 10 years, Ben Pierce has toured the world as the lead singer and guitarist of No Longer Music. He is the chief communicator for “Provoke & Inspire” - the teaching and training division of Come&Live! that includes a podcast, a blog, and events around the world. He is passionate about challenging and equipping Christian artists to boldly use their God-given artistic talent to share the powerful message of the Gospel outside the Church.
