Comedienne Joy: A Night of Food, Fun and Comedy
Sat, May 6, 2017, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM CDT
Join us May 6, 2017 for a night of food, fun and comedy featuring Comedienne Joy from Birmingham, AL for the Chasity D. Barnes Memorial Scholarship Dinner & Silent Auction.
Comedienne Joy has crowned herself as the Queen of Clean! Although her show is rated “F” for Family Fun, now that’s a twist a comedy act the whole family can enjoy young and old. Her own personal motto is, “I can be funny without cursing or being vulgar.” Joy derives most of her material from everyday life. She finds humor from dialogue clichés to people walking down the street, to the good ol’ folks in the church. Joy is just real!!
A scholarship will be given away to a high school senior in memory of Chasity D. Barnes. Plus, our guests will be entered to win great door prizes! The annual awards dinner will be hosted by television news anchor Tonya Terry.
Chasity was 27-years-old when she died from a blood clot shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Each year since her death, her family has awarded a high school senior with a scholarship. Read more about Chasity at chasitybarnes.org.
