Want to strengthen your comedic timing? Add some comedic tools to your acting belt? Develop unique comedy characters? Explore a scene with heightened physicality and movement? How about laughing till your face hurts, for 3 hours every Sunday? Sound intriguing? Then please, read on.......

Comedic Acting/Creating Character is a 4-week course that lets you, the performer, explore the funny in a scene. Learn the impact that timing, pace, and character specificity bring to a comedic performance. Explore inner characters through physicality and vocalization. Get up, get onstage and prepare to laugh, because this class is all about the funny!

Date: Sundays 10/15 - 11/5 11am - 2pm

Teacher: Brooke Totman


Brooke Totman is an actor, writer, and director. She studied sketch comedy with The Groundlings in Los Angeles where she was a member of their Sunday Company. Totman was a series regular on the sketch comedy show MADtv. She currently heads the Sketch Comedy division at The Ape theater and serves as the director of The Ape's sketch company, BIG MOTHER.
