Event description
Learn how to prepare nutritious food, promote healthy eating habits and have more peaceful mealtimes.(Preschool)(Elementary School)

About this Event

Everyone is closer to home, which means more family meals! Join us to learn how our behavior influences our children’s food choices. Does rewarding with food or playtime help? What about setting limits for healthy or unhealthy foods? We will also talk about the 5 steps to more peaceful mealtimes and what our children are responsible for. Furthermore, you will learn what type of diet is best to support children’s healthy development, including a mix of carbohydrates, proteins, healthy fat, and important nutrients like Calcium, Vitamin D, Omega-3 fatty acids, iron, and fiber.

With Niki Philippas, RD, Phd, Parent Educator at Parents Place, a program of JFCS' Center for Children and Youth.

Fee: $30.

This workshop is presented by the Center for Children and Youth, a division of Jewish Family and Children's Services.
