Description

*Will be held at the Osawatomie High School (1200 Parker Ave, Osawatomie, KS)
Salsa is America's favorite condiment. Many consumers enjoy creating their own masterpiece salsas, incorporating their favorite ingredients. While these mixtures are safe to eat fresh, they may not be safe to can for future enjoyment. In this hands-on class Franny Eastwood, Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent, Kathy Goul, Family Nutrition Program Assistant and Extension Master Food Volunteers will show participants the basics of choosing the right salsa recipes for canning and water-bath canning techniques. Each participant will leave with instructional materials and a jar of salsa! Must have attended Food Preservation 101. Class size is limited: Minimum 4, Maximum 21 participants.
