Description

The Tommy G. Thompson Center is pleased to be partnering with the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) to put on an exciting, fun, and free public event at UW-Madison's Education Building! An honored speaker from the CRFB will briefly discuss the current standing of the national debt, before turning over the reigns to YOU to create a sustainable solution.

Working together with a round table of your fellow attendees and using the CRFB's simple but extraordinary debtfixer tool, YOU will be charged with determining what policies and financial decisions are made by our federal government. Will you end US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan? Will you raise or cut income taxes? How will you change spending on American schools, healthcare, research, the environment, or foreign aid? YOU will have the power to make these choices and solve our national debt crisis. Come and show us your creative solutions!

This hour and a half event will be wrapped up with some final comments and thoughts from our CRFB speaker, who will be present to work and talk with while you design the United State's new fiscal trajectory.

We would love to see you and have your thoughts be heard! The solutions are there and we can find them. Together we will race to a brighter future. Forward.

If you are curious beforehand here is the web address for the CRFB debtfixer tool - come give it a try!
