Event description
In Workshop 2, you will use writing activities inspired by improvisation and stream of consciousness to allow raw ideas to flourish!

About this Event

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Often, the largest challenge we face as writers is getting started. We know the cliches: the dreaded blank page, waiting for inspiration to strike, writer’s block, and drifting away from our word processor to browse the Internet “for a minute.” Using writing activities inspired by improvisation and stream of consciousness, we’ll let our words loose and allow raw ideas to flourish. Led by Badgerdog teaching artist Marissa Macy, this workshops is free and open to adults, age 18 and up. Please register as space is limited.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST:

Born and raised in Austin, Marissa Macy is in constant pursuit of telling stories. Whether it’s the short films she’s written and directed, her children’s fiction, or performing in improvised plays, it’s all about thickening the plot. Catch her on stage with the troupe Hometown Improv, on the Big Gay Musical Podcast, or in her film Bed Eater.
