Event description
FWM and BalletX invite all experience levels to join us for this special introduction to the foundations of Vogue as a dance art form.

About this Event

Have you ever drawn a line with your whole body? Thought of your own curves as part of a sublime object in space? Jacolby Satterwhite’s work incorporates aspects of dance, drawing, and movement and animated figures to create complex and personal spaces in both digital and physical forms. FWM and BalletX invite all experience levels to join us for this special introduction to the foundations of Vogue as a dance art form. Learn the five elements of vogue—cat walk, duck walk, hands, floor performance, and spins—as well as an introduction to the history of ball culture and performance. Connect your own history and motivations to the fun and fierce elements of Vogue.
