Join us for a look at the rich culture, history, and genealogy of the countries of the Carpathian Mountain region, including Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, and Serbia. Our guide will be Helene Cincebeaux, noted author, tour leader, and Editor, "Slovakia" Magazine.
Since her first trip to Poland in 1959, Helene Cincebeaux has visited 61 countries, and has led 88 tours to 16 countries in Europe and Asia. She co-founded the Slovak Heritage & Folklore Society International and maintains the Society’s "Slavik Pride" database of ancestral names and villages. She also co-founded the Moravian Heritage Society and is Editor of "Morava Krasna" quarterly. Helene is the author of 4 books, has published 50 magazine articles, and her photos of the people of the Czech and Slovak Republics have been displayed in 8 countries.
Admission is $18 in advance, and $20 at the door. An authentic Carpathian lunch from "European In Texas" Market and Deli is available for $12 through advance purchase online on our ticketing page, or you may bring your own lunch. (A very limited number of lunches will be available for $12 at the event. We recommend purchasing lunch in advance.) Bid for gift items in a silent auction, buy raffle tickets for a gift basket, and find books, T-shirts, CDs, and DVDs offered for sale.

Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at the Environmental Education Center and at a parking lot right across the street.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you don't need to bring your printed ticket. We can check you in at the event.
