Event description

Description

The election in November was a turning point for issues central to the well being of women in Colorado. The Colorado legislature and new Governor support many of the important issues and policies women need.

This summit will be an opportunity to learn from experts on a broad range of issues impacting women's lives including sexual health and reproductive justice, racial justice, gender justice, conservationist concerns about our environment, LGBTQ+ issues, fair wages, paid family leave and so much more.

Progress for Colorado, the Women's Lobby of Colorado, and PWN USA Colorado are inviting progressive women elected officials, Colorado thought leaders, policy leads from sister organizations and any woman who would like to be a part of elevating issues important to women in Colorado to join us for a strategic conversation.

By the end of the Summit, we will create a strategic plan for the upcoming 2019 General Assembly with a vision for the next two years framed by these topics and identifying key opportunities and challenges, especially as we stand resistant to any policies that will hurt women and their families.

Schedule:

Saturday November 17th, 2018 9:00 to 4:30 Welcoming, celebration and issues overview

Sunday November 18th, 2018 1:00 to 5:00 Power and Privilege within Progressive Spaces,Strategic Path and Next Steps

We realize many have been working on elections and GOTV for many months. We welcome you to attend as much as you can while holding other life commitments.
