Join us for the 2nd annual Colorado Ultrafest on Saturday, March 18th 2017!

Ultrafest began at UC Irvine and has quickly spread across the globe to become the premier ultrasound education symposium for medical students and PA students. Ultrafest flips the classroom to develop students’ skills and leadership in point of care ultrasound.

  • Exposure to cutting edge ultrasound machines
  • World renowned ultrasound physician instructors
  • Lunch and Snacks provided


Ultrafest is completely FREE, thanks to our wonderful Rocky Vista and Colorado University Attending Physicians, students, and models volunteering their time to make Ultrafest a reality.




Sessions
The day will include your custom selection ultrasound workshops with close clinical instruction and hands-on experience. There will be both basic and advanced sessions to cater to students with any level of ultrasound experience. Chose any combination of 5 sessions from the following:

Basic:

  • Cardio I: Learn the 4 most common views of the heart to assess anatomy and function.
  • Vascular I: Find vessels for blood flow evaluation, thrombosis detection, and IV catheterization.
  • FAST: Master one of the most widely used ultrasound trauma protocols.
  • Abdominal: Identify the normal anatomy and pathology of organs like the kidneys, liver, gallbladder, abdominal aorta, inferior vena cava, appendix, and bowels.
  • Ocular: Diagnose common emergencies and pathology of the eye

Advanced:

  • Cardio II: Learn more US pathology and the measurements involved in assessing cardiac function.
  • Prenatal: Identify intrauterine and extrauterine pregnancy, correct measurement techniques, and fetal pathology.
  • RUSH: Multi-organ protocol for shock and hypotension
  • Knobology: Explore the more technical features, measurements, visualizations, and renderings of the machines.
  • SonoSim®: Test your Ultrasound skills on simulated pathology in real time!
  • Invasive Procedures: Learn awesome techniques like IV catheterization, nerve blocks, and US-guided central line placement.

Attendees: Please arrive for registration from 8:00AM-8:20AM. Enter through the upper doors on the southern end of the building. A map will be provided once your registration is confirmed.

Outside the cafeteria, you will pick up a nametag with your schedule for the day on the back.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Rocky Vista University's campus is contained a single building, with three parking lots. Our North parking is reserved for the Rocky Vista Health Center, which will be open and seeing patients on the day of the event. Our event parking will be limited to the two southern lots.
