Event description
"Doing what we love to fight what we hate" As Freedom Hikers, we are using our passion for hiking to help raise awareness & funds.

About this Event

"Doing what we love to fight what we hate" As a Freedom Hiker, we are using our passion for hiking to help raise awareness and funds to fight human trafficking and help set women and children free from sexual slavery.

Come and join the adventure and help us raise awareness for anti-human trafficking in 2021!

We invite you on a journey of personal growth all while joining the fight against human trafficking! The goal for this endurance hike is to push personal limits, step out of our comfort zone and conquer one of the most breathtaking and challenging hikes Colorado has to offer. This hike will be a celebration of raising funds and awareness for the organization Rescue:Freedom. If you would like to learn more visit them at www.rescuefreedom.org

As a Freedom Hiker, you will have access to fundraising tools and resources to help you make a difference. We work as a team to share our message and encourage friends and family to learn more how they too can help. Then together in August, we will hike ~7miles in Mount Sneffels Wilderness to celebrate and share our message #forfreedom along the trail in some of the most beautiful parts of Colorado!

Nobody deserves to live a life of slavery, and we are doing something about it. Will you join us?

Mount Sneffels is one of Colorado's many 14ers rising to an elevation of 14,240 feet. We will hike to the top via Yankee Boy Basin. This trail features a lake and is rated as difficult. This is an advanced hike that will require training beforehand that you will track and submit. Agree to commit to your personal health and fitness (working out 3-4 days per week). We recommend that you are able to run 6 consistent miles without stopping or make that a goal in the coming weeks. Agree to 10 weeks of training hikes leading up to the event (as we get closer the weekly hikes will require 6-7 hours on your feet). These training hikes will begin in June.

Agree to commit to fundraising for the Colorado Freedom Hike 2021 fundraising campaign. You set your own goal. In years past hikers have raised an average of $1500. We are believing in achieving big things together!

A fundraising kit will be available for purchase from Rescue:Freedom in January of 2021. It will include a shirt, water bottle, stickers, brochures, trail flag and thank you cards.

Agree to help raise awareness for the Wonderland Freedom Hiker Campaign by sharing with your friends and family

Agree to join us for a monthly call to share and connect. You are agreeing to 5 accountability video conference calls over a 4 month period
