Event description

Description

If you cannot attend IRL, please join us at facebook/ccs for a livestream from 5:30 and comments at 6:30pm.

The Masters Program in Interaction Design has produced a full-scale replica of Gordon Pask's seminal work, Colloquy of Mobiles. First- and second-year students collaborated for one semester with master fabricator TJ McLeish (in photo above). This exhibit marks the 50-year anniversary of the original installation, which opened in 1968 in London for the ground-breaking Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition.

Event begins at 5:30pm EDT. Remarks and recognition at 6:30pm EDT. We will be serving wine courtesy of Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails, light h'ordeuvres, and Perrier, in special homage to Gordon Pask.

Come meet colleagues, donors, and student collaborators. Converse about the history and future of environments where machines interact with machines and also with people. Celebrate this history-making reproduction and become immersed in a unique and influential work at the intersection of interactive art and interaction design.

Free parking is available in the CCS parking structure across from the entrance to Taubman Center, between Cass and 2nd on the south side of W Baltimore. (Please note, some online map pins are misleading.)

Please RSVP by Noon Tuesday, May 22nd. Thank you.
