Event description

Description

Grab your layers and get ready, because it’s time to get psyched for the sixth season of Collegiate Ice Carnival! By the end of this full send weekend of winter shenanigans we’re sure you’ll be a cold weather climbing convert with tons of new stories to share!

This year we’re making CIC more accessible to a greater group of all-season senders by offering social tickets as well as fully guided event tickets. That way all you geared up, ice savvy nomads can come for the party Saturday night but play all day your way! And for the less equipped adventurers ready to commit to the whole weekend, the standard ticket includes gear rental and professional guides to show you the safest way to carry your rock climbing habit into the chillier months.

TL:DR: There will be 72 guided tickets and 100 social tickets.

For all ticket holders, home base will be Camp Cody again this year, complete with heated cabins, hot catered meals, and a gear raffle that is sure to knock those Icebreaker socks right off! Guided tickets include all technical ice climbing gear, and a day of guided climbing with Cathedral Mountain Guides (with legends like Freddie Wilkinson, Bayard Russell, Janet Wilkinson, and more!)

Registration opens January 25th at 10am! Be sure to mark your calendars and get the crew together, because last year this event sold out in 10 min and you won’t want to miss out on the event of the season!

The Who: Stoked college students like you! No experience necessary, we provide everything from professional guides to warm clothing and backpacks for some gnarly ice climbing gear (huge thanks to our demo sponsors like Black Diamond, Petzl, Patagonia, and adidas TERREX)!

The What: A glorious weekend of guided ice climbing for all levels, rad guest speakers, a gearhead’s dream raffle, new friends from 20+ outdoor programs/clubs, and so much more! Not to mention rad event pictures by @Jared Herman Photography.

The Where: Camp Cody,

9 Cody Rd, Freedom, NH 03836

The When: February 22nd-24th, 2019

What does my ticket include?

All tickets include access to the event from Friday-Sunday, a bunk in a heated cabin Friday and Saturday night, all three meals on Saturday, a dope guest speaker, and a raffle ticket. Full event tickets include ice climbing equipment and demo gear, and a professionally guided climbing trip on Saturday!

Are you feeding us?

We will feed you a three full and hot meals on Saturday, provided by the incredible kitchen at Camp Cody! If you have any dietary restrictions, please plan on bringing your own food. Make sure to eat dinner before you arrive on Friday night.

What else should I know? The Collegiate Ice Carnival is a team effort. Although we will help, you will be expected to carpool to the event, be on time, bring as much warm clothing and camping gear as possible, and organize gear and clean up when necessary!
