Please join us to discuss hot topics in Higher Education that include:

  • Controls, actions, and processes Colleges and Universities are required to have in place to comply with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

  • The Justice Department's recent brief that it argued Colleges and Universities "expressly agreed" in their Federal Financial Aid Program Participation Agreement to "comply with statutory and regulatory requirements" to receive financial aid funds

  • An update on the status of the Schlichter lawsuits that have impacted the 403(b) Plans offer by Colleges and Universities



CPE Information
2 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits will be granted for attendance in specialized knowledge
Program Level: Intermediate
Instructional Delivery Method: Group live
Objective: Discuss current topics in higher education relative to requirements set forth by Gramm-Leach-Bliley and Federal Financial Aid Program Participation Agreements and best practices of 403(b) Plan sponsor to protect against law suits.
Prerequisites: At least two years experience in Higher Education
After this course you will have a basic understanding of:

  • Controls, actions and process Higher Education Institutions are required to have in place to comply with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

  • Understanding of the Justice Departments briefing with respect to Federal Financial Aid Program participation Agreements and relation to the False Claims Act

  • Current environment over 403(b) plan sponsorships and best practices to execute your fiduciary duties.
