Event description
Join us for our second topic-specific meet-up discussing college planning as a young adult living with a rare or chronic condition

About this Event

Each month, we will be hosting a topic-specific meet up addressing an unmet need that young adults face while living with a rare or chronic condition. Our next one is about college planning where we will hear from Dan Pezzetta, who is a young adult impacted by Aortic Stenosis.

Dan is a 21-year-old rising Senior at Hartwick College who is majoring in English Literature, Political Science, and Education. After college, Dan's goal is to pursue his PhD. in Public Policy and Administration, and work with government officials to make sound policy, as well as teaching as a professor.

Going into college was a surreal experience for Dan and very tough to navigate. During the meet-up he will discuss social life with a rare disease, how to open up to new friends, how to get professor assistance, and accessibility accommodations.

Space is limited, so make sure to register early! Once registering, you will receive additional details about accessing this event.
