College Planning Workshop

This is a FREE workshop for San Pablo Youth and their parents! Dinner Included!

Getting ready for college can be exciting, but stressful for many youth. How do you know where to start? Educating yourself and your family is key to the success of the college admissions process. Through this Workshop Series, Senior College Consultant, Elizabeth La Porte, will provide with the tools needed to fully understand and maximize the college preparation and application journey. In the first half of the workshop (5-6pm)

Financial Aid: How to Pay for College - You should not have to pay top dollar to provide your student with an excellent college education. In this workshop, you will learn several strategies to be able to pay for college and remain debt-free. We will review financial aid programs, scholarships, grants, home equity issues + more.

In the second half of the workshop (6-7pm)

Five Steps to Successful College Essays - Engaging essays stand out, and they are key in the current competitive environment. In this workshop, you will learn the steps to help your student create a distinctive, highly personalized essay.

Revisaremos programas de ayuda financiera, becas, subvenciones, cuestiones de equidad de la vivienda y más.

En la segunda mitad del taller (6-7pm)

Cinco pasos para el éxito de los ensayos universitarios: Los ensayos atractivos se destacan y son clave en el entorno competitivo actual. En este taller, aprenderá los pasos para ayudar a su alumno a crear un ensayo distintivo y altamente personalizado.
