The College of Know-How is a ridiculously helpful day-long workshop where soon-to-be college students (and current college students) learn everything schools don't teach them about how to actually succeed in college and beyond.
Nationally recognized college counselor, and all-around good guy, Danny Ruderman came up with the College of Know-How after years of helping his high school students transition to college and realizing that no one was providing the essential tools and information for students as they left home for the first time.
Here are the real-life practical skills students will learn:
How to master your schedule
How to get help from TAs
How to study better
How to figure out a major
How to make a resume
How to interview
How to find an internship
How to get a job
How to meet new people
How to make connections
How to get an actual date
- How to succeed in relationships
How to manage credit cards
How to make a budget
How to think big, set goals, make a plan, & find mentors
BONUSES: Each student will walk away with the following:
Workbook – students will get the specific instructions we discuss so they can reference them– a sort of Handbook for Life. During the day, students will actually make plans so they have a written roadmap of goals and timelines.
Access to a Participants-Only Online Community – students can ask questions and share ideas with and get advice from other students.
