April 16th, 4 - 5 pm: Presentation by the Hasan Ikhrata: Building 7 Gallery. "Regional Transportation Planning and University Partnerships"
April 21st – 25th : Beginnings: Building 7 Atrium: A showcase of current students' work from all disciplines within the College of Environmental Design
April 22nd , 12 – 1 pm: Earth Day Solute to Women in Environmental Design: Building 7 Atrium: Dr. Robert Musil will speak on his new book, Rachel Carson and Her Sisters: Extraordinary Women Who Have Shaped America’s Environment
April 25th , 12 pm – 2 pm: Pecha Kucha presentations: Building 7 Atrium. Alumni will present short 6 minute slideshow presentations highlighting their work
April 25th , 2 – 4 pm: Speed Mentoring: Building 7 Atrium: Alumni, professionals and students are invited to participate in a semiformal formatted speed mentoring session. Students will be actively engaged in rapid fire sessions with professionals and employers
May 1st, 12 - 4 pm: Weglyn Multicultural Event for the College of Business, Engineering, and Environmental Design: URSA Major, Bronco Student Center
Presentation: The Demographic Imperative for Professional Success, Mitchel Silver: 12 - 1 pm: Planner, City of Raleigh, NC; Past APA President: "Mitchel Silver argues that the changing demographics of the United States presents opportunities for graduates of professional degree programs. Mr. Silver explores how a multicultural identity can be an asset rather than a deficit in the workplace
Panel Discussion, alumni Frank Villalobos and Paul Tran (Environmental Design); Ricardo Lopez (Engineering) and others TBA: 2 - 4 pm: After outlining their own biographies, alumni from the three colleges will discuss the challenges they have overcome in the workplace and in their professional careers. Students will be encouraged to ask questions to create a dialogue for their own empowerment
May 8th, 10 – 2 pm: College of Environmental Design Career Day: Building 7 Atrium. Env. Career day is hosted by the Env. Council, employers are welcome to register at Tinyurl.com/envcareerday2014
May 12 - 30, : Building 7 Gallery. The Outcomes ENV design exhibition will showcase the work of alumni, students, and faculty in a comprehensive review of best design work from the entire span of ENV’s history. A jury of current and emeritus faculty will curate the show in a number of categories, providing an opportunity to feature the depth and the breadth of ENV’s design successes
May 17th , :Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies. An alumni and friends spring festival and gathering in honor of the Lyle Center’s 20th anniversary. Guests will be treated to a casual afternoon affair with a country-flair, enjoying good food, music, art, games, great company, and of course, bocce ball!

Join the Celebration
Beginning Fall 2013, the university and its greater community will come together to celebrate Cal Poly Pomona’s 75th anniversary year. While the yearlong events mark the university’s founding in 1938, it is also an opportunity to celebrate its countless achievements as well as envision and build its future.
The university’s 75th Anniversary Task Force and numerous campus-wide groups are putting together a memorable collection of events and programs. Stay tuned, more information is coming soon!
