College Esports Expo 2020 - The Premiere Conference for the College Esports Industry in North America Taking Place the Day Before Pax East

About this Event

College Esports Brands is proud to announce the hosting of our 3rd Annual College Esports Expo (CEX) on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, the day before Pax East Convention in Boston. Stay tuned weekly for updates on panelists!

The College Esports Expo is the first conference in North America exclusively for the growth and development of college esports. CEX is an event for everybody, whether you are already in the esports industry, just getting started, or looking to begin your career. We specialize in helping college students seeking jobs in esports/gaming, academics looking to create an esports curriculum, and universities aspiring to create esports programs on their campuses. We serve the gaming publishers and gaming technology companies wanting to share their new products/services and the media outlets looking to diversify their content. We offer representatives from professional esports organizations and esports insiders to share their real-life experiences and perspective on the esports industry. If any of this appeals to you, then CEX is where you want to be.

Launched in 2017 by esports faculty and students at Emerson College as a forum to address the need for dialogue on topics related to the growth of esports, the College Esports Expo hosts scheduled panels and keynotes that go through the inner workings of the esports industry. We host key stakeholders from the companies that are driving the backbone of the industry.

CEX 2020 is a one-day event (Wednesday, February 26), which is the day before over 60,000 gamers and gaming companies converge in Boston for the annual Pax East Conference. Since CEX's inception, we've grown and expanded from a one-room lecture hall at Emerson College to five dedicated conference spaces in the historic Park Plaza Hotel in Boston.

CEX 2020 is introducing new specialized tracks that focus on Academics and Programming, Player Performance and Management, Technology, and Lifestyle. These new tracks will include experts from new verticals such as high school esports programs, wellness, diversity, inclusion, player advocacy, career planning, program management, coaching, events, sponsorship, demographics, broadcasting- live streaming, and legal topics.

Esports on college campuses are redefining the shape of pop culture, entertainment, student activities, and sports. The explosive growth in collegiate esports necessitates a forum for the best minds in esports to convene and discuss challenges and opportunities in the burgeoning industry. Thought leadership and panel discussions on critical topics such as conducting esports research, developing esports curriculums, and instating varsity programs at existing institutions.

Come to the College Esports Expo (CEX), the premier event for students, administration colleges, and esports industry professionals to begin a dialogue.

GOAL OF THE EVENT:

Discuss critical issues related to the growth of collegiate esports such as varsity esports and student organization development, as well as an exploration of pathways to standardization and oversight.
