College & Career Summit 2017
Welcome, College & Career Summit Vendors!
The difference between fulfilled dreams or unrealized potential and in some cases, life or death is often times, opportunity. In the disparity of chances afforded youth today, Broward County Public Schools, the sixth largest school district in the nation, has vowed to implement high-quality education to increase college and career readiness to 80 percent. This daunting task can only be accomplished through partnerships that promote post-secondary prospects for all students.
The Superintendent of Broward County Public Schools invites your institution to partner with us again, by participating in our "Last Chance"- College & Career Summit 2017. The summit will commence 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Arthur Ashe, Jr. Campus, 1701 NW 23rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311. The goal of this Summit is to afford students an opportunity to attain higher education and pursue their purpose in life. This Summit will enable poverty-stricken students who lack exposure and the support that would have led them to attend previous college fairs, the chance to engage with interested organizations. Your school may be their final prospect to receive an education, which will yield a more promising future.
Please come ready to extend admission opportunities and possible scholarship awards as students will have transcripts and reference letters on hand. We ask that you come set-up at your table at 7:00 a.m. so we can serve breakfast between 7:15-7:45 a.m.
