We are calling ALL high school students, college students, and alumni to join us at "College-Bound 2017: The HBCU Experience" as we strive to raise HBCU and Educational Awareness in the community! Organizer of COLLEGE-BOUND 2017: The HBCU Experience
Hoops & High Heels Incorporated is a dynamic 501c(3) sports organization that was founded on January 1, 2016. This rising non-profit organization, also referred to as The Hoops & High Heels Project, was officially chartered by the State of Maryland on July 28, 2016. Our drive to give back to the girls in the DC-Metropolitan community has motivated us to continue building a powerhouse of former, current, and future female athletes, coaches, and business women in the sports industry who believe in the mission of our organization.
Purpose: To inspire and educate young girls in the community through sports; and with the mentoring and support of women and men who have been involved in the sports industry as an athlete, journalist, coach, and/or business professional.
Initiatives: Youth Sports Development, Business/Professional Etiquette, Academic Excellence, College Preparation, and Community Service
The Hoops & High Heels Project Funds:
- Textbook Scholarships for Minority Students in PG County & D.C.
- Care Packages & Self-Care for High School Girls
- Back 2 School Supply Drive for 4th - 12th Grade Students (Girls/Boys)
- Student Events and Activities that support the 5 Core Program Initiatives
