Program Outline: Our college application summer boot camps are designed to help students get a strong start on their college applications under the guidance of an expert admissions counselor. During these camps, students will: Gain an understanding of the college admissions process and how admissions officers evaluate applications. Brainstorm, write, and edit a persoal statement essay that can be used with a variety of applicatons. Receive advice on which teachers should write the recommendations and how to ask for their help. Learn how to research colleges and assess chances of admission using College Planner Pro software and other resources. Work one-on-one and in small groups to complete the Common Application datasheets. Complete an activity sheet that highlights high school awards, extracurricular activities, and leadership positions. Learn how to approach, brainstorm, and write common supplemental essays. Dates: July 13th - 16th August 3rd - 6th August 10th-13th Daily Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9AM - 12PM: Workshop - counselors and essay coaches will guide the group through major topics in admissions 12PM - 1PM: Lunch 1PM - 4PM: Work time for essays and application - editors will be available to help! Thursday Evening 6PM - 7PM: Parent Review - we will share with parents our suggestions for how students spend the rest of summer and fall to ensure applications are well done and finished well in advance of deadlines! Prices: $1500 - Regular - After May 1st $1225 - Before May 1st $975 - Before March 1st $750 - Before January 1st *No Refunds: Because space is EXTREMELY limited, we cannot offer any refunds for the boot camps. Once you register, there will be no refunds for any reason. Students may switch dates as long as space is still available.* We must have a minimum of 6 students in order for each boot camp to run.
