College Admissions Hack Workshop

Getting into college is more than just having a high GPA and taking the SAT or ACT. Determining which colleges could be right for you, filling out applications, writing admissions essays, figuring out financial aid, and even going through a college admissions interview are all key steps in the college admissions process. Not to mention, the high number of unknown unknowns in admissions has led many students and familes to make costly and time-consuming mistakes. So what is a student to do?

Let U.S. College Experts and Scholarly Pursuits help you! This free, open to the public College Admissions Hack workshop will teach students and parents everything they need to know to begin the college admissions process in an informed way. Instructors Dr. Andrea Davis and Ayo Oseni, MBA have over 16 years of combined experience in higher ed consulting, and they are both knowledgeable and passionate about helping students get into college and be successful once admitted. The comprehensive College Admissions Hack workshop series was developed to address the A to Z topics of college admissions and give students a leg up on the competition, and this introductory workshop will cover the most important topics that students need to know as they begin planning for college.

The College Hack introductory workshop will cover the following topics:

  • How to Choose the College That Is The Best Fit for You

  • Testing Requirements, Scheduling, and Results

  • Financial Aid Options: Scholarships, Grants, Work-Study, Loans

  • How to Use Support Resources Such As Mentors and Guidance Counselors
