COLLEGE ACTING PROGRAM PREP CLASS:

How to Get Into the Best Acting School For You

w/Actress & Acting Coach, Carolyn Michelle Smith

Hosted by Founder, Latasha Kennedy

Date: Saturday, October 28, 2017

Time: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Students who desire to attend elite acting schools such as the Juilliard School, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, or the Yale School of Drama must submit themselves to a rigorous process to ensure that they bring their best work to the auditions and interviews with the institutions' faculty and staff.

Broadway and Film/TV actress, Carolyn Michelle Smith, is a graduate of the Juilliard School of the Arts. She will be leading students between the ages of 16-18 in an intensive workshop using various exercises to prepare them for standard auditions required for entry into the best acting programs across the U.S. and abroad.

Students in the class will learn:

  • important strategies to implement leading up to audition day and in the audition room

  • how to select compelling material for their auditions and where to find it

  • what schools must be on their list based on their career goals

  • and so much more!

Class size is limited to 8 students. The small class size ensures that every student has the opportunity to participate in the exercises and engage in a thoughtful Q&A session with Carolyn about the process of applying to acting schools.

As a bonus, Carolyn will offer every participant a deeply discounted rate to continue coaching with her as their auditions and interviews approach.

Light refreshments will be served.
