Kara Juszczak, LCSWR, co-owner of Tree of Hope Counseling will facilitate this session.

This training will explore collective trauma as a historical and current phenomenon. As professionals, we have an influential role in educating each other, processing emotions with the people we serve,, and advocating for our community. Both professional roles and self-care will be covered.

Learning Objectives:

- Increase understanding of collective trauma as a historical and current issue.

- Explore the factors that contribute to the experience of collective trauma.

- Identify the roles we can play as professionals in a traumatized community and country.

- Plan for professional self-care to build resilience.

This class will be conducted virtually. All registered participants will receive login and class information a few days before the event.

Tree of Hope Counseling, LCSW, PLLC, is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0322.

This course is three (3) contact hours for social workers; LMHC hours pending.

Fee for course is $80.00

Registration available until 5:00pm Wednesday July 8.
