Patria, Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville Ranch, Napa Valley, 2019
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
Reminiscent of the powerful 2013s with explosive aromatics of blackberry, black licorice, herbes de provence and raspberry cordial followed by flavors of roasted plums, pipe tobacco, black currants and cocoa nibs. Dense and with a long life ahead, if cracking within the next year, give it an hour decant before serving.
98 Points - Vinous
Maybach Family Vineyards, Amoenus, Napa Valley, California, 2019
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
This Calistoga site produces wines with a particularly intricate, multi-faceted Cabernet Sauvignon profile that shines in years where more structure is present in the wines. This is the case for the 2019 vintage. In the glass, the wine displays a completely opaque purple-black hue with a dark violet halo. Vivid aromas suggest beef blood, black currant, loam, and graphite. The concentrated, mouth-coating palate showcases complex notes of smoked meat, sandalwood, baking spice, cocoa nib, gravel and crushed black fruit. The lush fruit notes are complemented by a fine grain, medium tannin structure and pleasingly bright acidity. This wine has decades of drinking potential. Only time will reveal how the voluminous layers of this exceptional Amoenus bottling will unfold.

Melka, "Metisse" Jumping Goat Vineyard, Napa Valley, California, 2018
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
Our well-known Jumping Goat vineyard located in the AVA of St. Helena is one of the standout wines in our portfolio. A deep garnet purple color boasting aromatics of raspberry, dark cherry and chocolate with floral notes of rose petal, lavender and violet - an extremely perfumed wine. The entry is very inviting with lively acid and great minerality and is very powerful and bold with well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and lingering. This luscious wine will age beautifully. This Jumping Goat could be defined as one of the most European style's to date.
98 Points - Wine Spectator
Ad Vivum, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sleeping Lady Vineyard, Napa Valley, 2016 by Chris Phelps
Winemaker's Tasting Notes :
Ad Vivum is deep garnet red with a trademark Sleeping Lady iridescent violet edge. Aromas call to mind an array of profound fruits: cassis, plum, cherry and black raspberry, along with vanilla and espresso bean. In terms of texture, a slate-like minerality and very finely-grained ripe tannins are in harmony with sweet oak.
The Mascot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2017 (by Harlan Family)
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
Made from the younger vines of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory, The Mascot shares a unique glimpse into the evolution of our winegrowing estates. The Mascot began early on as an experiment, after talking the family and winemaking team into sparing a few barrels of wine - produced from our younger vines - to explore a blend of my own. In the first few years, before it had a label or a name, it was just a wine shared with friends and family. This cabernet is a hedonistic blend of power and balance; expressive and approachable early in its life, with potential to evolve well into the future. Ready to drink upon release, it will age for decades given the opportunity.
