Event description

Description

Used wisely, academic technology empowers students to take responsibility for their own learning. The workshop provides numerous examples of innovative uses of technology in ELA and social studies classrooms, and includes opportunities for targeted web or app exploration after each “mini” lesson. Examples highlight both inquiry-based and research-oriented technology applications for middle school and high school classrooms where students present their learning in multiple modalities. Key concepts to be addressed include: Interacting with Digital Text- finding and using multimodal texts, leveraging audio and video, collaborative writing, digital portfolios, and multimedia presentations.
