Event description

Description

Collagraph printmaking is an intaglio process using collage techniques to create printing plates. Using found materials, household items, and a bit of invention, you can get results unlike any other printmaking medium.
Collagraph prints can also be easily combined with other printmaking processes. The first session will focus on collage techniques and operation of the printing press. Collage plates may be completed and dried at home during the interval. During the second session, we spend the day experimenting with printing. No previous printmaking experience required.

Please bring:

-Thin, collage materials (textured paper, cardboard, fabrics, plastics, foil, plant material, tape, string, etc.
-Inexpensive flat wash brush, ½” – 1”
-scissors and/or x-acto knife
-Shop apron (optional)

This workshop is two Saturdays
