Collage Poetry Workshop: Responding to Objects
In this workshop we'll be responding to found objects to create collage poetry.
We will interact with found objects to activate different senses, asking ourselves, how do they feel, smell, what sounds do they make, how do they look? We will draw from these observations to create collage poetry.
Objects will be provided, consisting of our findings from the streets, shores, soils of London and beyond. You are also welcome to bring along your own. Collaging materials are also provided e.g. magazines, newspapers, scissors and glue.
Please note:
- This is a non-judgemental space for people of all levels of experience (including none at all!) with poetry and collage poetry.
- We want this workshop to feel as inclusive as possible, so please email (threadofthoughtcollective@gmail.com)/DM us on Instagram if you have suggestions/requests for other ways to make this a safe and creatively fun experience for all.
- We offer inclusive pricing, with a suggested donation of £15. Money will go towards materials and time spent organising the workshop by the Thread of Thought team. However we understand this may not be possible for everyone, so please pay what you feel you can afford between £1 & £15.
