Course Description: This training is designed to help supervisors take apply their clinical skills to grow leadership skills with collaborative coaching and motivational interviewing techniques.
Goals:
- Understand the use of motivational interviewing in supervision
- Understand coaching techniques with supervision
Objectives:
- Participants will understand the concepts of motivational interviewing, coaching techniques and develop a plan to collaborate with their supervisors.
- Participants will create a plan to avoid the Advice Trap

9:00 am-10:00 Supervision Assessment (Lead, Coach, Dictate, Collaborate, etc.)
10:00-11:00 Motivational Interviewing for Supervisors
11:00-11:15 Break
11:15-12:00 Advice Trap
12:00-1:00 Practice
1:00-1:15 Wrap Up and Evaluations
