Course Description: This training is designed to help supervisors take apply their clinical skills to grow leadership skills with collaborative coaching and motivational interviewing techniques.

Goals:

• Understand the use of motivational interviewing in supervision
• Understand coaching techniques with supervision

Objectives:

• Participants will understand the concepts of motivational interviewing, coaching techniques and develop a plan to collaborate with their supervisors.
• Participants will create a plan to avoid the Advice Trap

10:00-11:00 Motivational Interviewing for Supervisors

11:15-12:00 Advice Trap

12:00-1:00 Practice
