THE CONVERGENCE/CONVERSATION brings together numerous initiatives/disciplines/interventions in Rhode Island  -- neuroscience research, early childhood, pediatrics, counseling, family visiting, nursing, social work and healthy housing -- with the goal of creating one collaborative conversation about toxic stress moving forward.

THE PROGRAM will feature a discussion moderated by WPRO's Steve Klamkin, including:

Dr. Peter Simon, pediatrician, epidemiologist; Dr. Jim Padbury, pediatrician-in-chief, chief of Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine, Women & Infants; Ruth Ann Norton, president and CEO, Green & Healthy Homes; Kevin Bath, neuroscientist, Cognitive, Linguistic & Psychological Sciences, Brown University; Elizabeth Burke Bryant, executive director, Rhode Island KIDS COUNT; Dr. Ailis Clyne, medical director, R.I. Department of Health; Kristine Campagna, chief of program development, Family Visiting, R.I. Department of Health; Rita Capotosto, clinical director at Adoption RI; Angela Ankoma, board chair, West Elmwood Neighborhood Housing, Sankofa Initiative

It will also feature a “Call To Action” by Dr. Pamela High, director, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Those attending will engage in facilitated conversations that include the expert panelists.
