Learners will be provided an Overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Descriptions of Current Evidence Based Treatment Approaches from Various Clinical Perspectives, Interventions from ABA and CBT Based Therapies, Challenges Treating Comorbid Diagnoses, and How we can Best Support Families.

About the Speakers: Tim McKenna is a dedicated behavioral health professional with more than a decade working with children. He is the Sr. Director of Operations for the Lindens Center for Autism at Bancroft and a therapist with Little Hands Family Services. Tim has a passion for integrated behavioral health, providing consultation and training at area hospitals including Alfred I Dupont and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Tim received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Stockton University and his master’s degree in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Katie McKenna has over 13 years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and working with the autism and developmentally disabled population. Katie earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Rowan University. Throughout her career, Katie has had a variety of experiences within a range of settings including functional analyses and assessment within a residential treatment facility, school and home-based consultation, and oversight of behavioral and vocational programming with an adult population in a day program and group home setting. Additionally, Katie was involved with a grant funded research study through Rowan University’s Autism Parent Program and has presented several research projects at local and national conferences. Katie currently operates as a BCBA through Gloucester County Special Services School District.

Little Hands Family Services has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6435. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Little Hands Family Services is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
