Event description

Description

The Health Services Research Roundtable (HSRR) is a collaborative research organization including institutions of higher education and community partners in Eastern Washington. Its purpose is to facilitate and encourage community-based research that addresses current challenges or issues affecting public health and well-being.

The purpose of this fourth HSRR networking event is to bring together faculty and community to address the top community priorities. Priority Spokane and the Community Health Assessment Board led a community-wide needs assessment process that was completed in April 2018. Over 200 individuals participated in the final community assessment meeting. The following 3 priorities were voted in by attendees:

1. Family violence and trauma

2. Mental health and substance abuse

3. Access to affordable housing

Join us for an evening of networking, food and drink to discuss research and assessment approaches to address Spokane’s top health priorities.

Interested faculty from area colleges and universities and community partners from non-profit, governmental and private health-related organizations will convene to develop research questions and methodology in an effort to provide real solutions to these community health and social problems.
