Paul Roberts is the Chief Operating Officer for Colgin Cellars. From a seventh generation Texas family, he began his career as sommelier at Houston’s esteemed Café Annie, ranked by Gourmet Magazine as one of the top 20 restaurants in the United States. There he became the 48th Master Sommelier in the world, earning the prestigious honor of the Krug Cup—awarded to those who pass all three exam sections on a first attempt, and with the highest cumulative score. He was the eigth person in MS history to win the Krug Cup, and the first Texan to become a Master Sommelier. Throughout the course of his career with Chef Keller, he earned eight Michelin stars, retiring from the restaurant business as the most Michelin awarded Sommelier in the USA. In 2013 he joined his dear friend and fellow Texan-Ann Colgin as the COO of Colgin Cellars.
