WAPA Members will gather at the Falls Church Location of Coleman Power Sports (435 S Washington Street) to learn more about motorcycles, ATVs and all things


We will gather for a light lunch and hear from Andria Yu, Director of Communications, Motorcycle Industry Council, on the current state of the motorcycle industry. Then tour the dealership with Kim Harrison, General Manager, Coleman Powersports, to look at and discuss the different models and makes of Motorcycles. Then conclude with Reno Birt, Director of Training, PowerRide University talking about rider training and licensing in the DMV.

This is a follow-up event from this past winter's Progressive Motorcycle Show, and prepare us for the upcoming January 10th, 2020 Washington DC Motorcycle Show Media Day.

Presenters:

Kim Harrison, General Manager, Coleman Powersports

Kim is the General Manager for Coleman Powersports in Falls Church and Woodbridge Virginia. She has been working in the industry for more than 37 years. Currently, her dealerships sell over $20 million per year and employ an average of 80 people. Ms. Harrison is very experienced with the multi-brand environment, working closely with department managers and manufacturer representatives. She also has extensive knowledge within the industry. Ms. Harrison is very active in the Virginia state dealers association and is currently a member of the Motorcycle Industry Council Dealer Advisory Committee. kharrison@wherethepoweris.com


Reno Birt, Director of Training, PowerRide University
Reno Birt has proudly been a motorcycle coach for more than 27 years. A few of his accreditations are serving as an MSF Trainer/Rider Coach/ Quality Assurance Specialist, ESC three-wheel coach, and Harley-Davidson Rider Coach and Network Quality Consultant. Mr. Birt is also certified by the National Safety Council to instruct in the Alive@25 program, Defensive Drivers Course and First Aid/CPR/AED. He presently serves as the National Safety Officer of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club and is a member of the World Champion Central Florida Motorcycle Drill Team. Mr. Birt delivers a high level of experience and enthusiasm to PowerRide University. He truly believes that riding a motorcycle is SERIOUS FUN! Safety, quality and fun are the foundation of training at PowerRide University!


Andria Yu, Director of Communications, Motorcycle Industry Council
Andria Yu is the Director of Communications with Motorcycles.org, the Motorcycle Industry Council and Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Ms. Yu is an avid motorcyclist who started riding in 2001. She also started teaching people how to ride in 2018, after earning her MSF RiderCoach certification for both street and dirt. Before working with motorcycles, Andria was a journalist, working at Newsday, The Baltimore Sun and USA Today. ayu@mic.org
