*NEW* During World War II the United States Government recognized the value of coal from the Sunnyside area for making steel. They decended on Eastern Utah and setup shop. Join us for a trip to visit the world famous coke ovens, the depot of the Carbon County Railway and more. We will also visit the site of the Sunnyside coke ovens, used for decades before the military built theirs. This daytime tour provides great photo opportunites, a ton of history and a dash of ghostly good fun.

FAQs

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Subject material is often times at a mature level. We retell authentic history as it happened. Subject matter may include, bootlegging, prostitution, murder, racial tensions, killings, corruption, outlaw activity, and graphic deaths. While we try to keep the rating at a solid PG-13+, sometimes, the occasional NC-17 crops up.

Our tours sometimes frighten adults! NO children under the age of 5 are allowed on the tours and parents should judge the individual maturity level of their own children when deciding whether or not to bring them on the tour. Certain tours may have stricter age requirements. Please see each individual tour for more information.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

This is a "caravan" style tour. We will meet at the junction of US Highway 6 and State Route 123 (the historical plaque area on the right) then travel as a group in your own personal vehicles to the tour stops. Please carpool if you can to limit the number of vehicles we have on the tour.

What can I bring into the event?

Wear comfortable shoes. Bring your camera and any ghost hunting equipment you would like to use. You never know what you might catch! Please bring a jacket. Water will be provided but feel free to bring any snacks or non-alcoholic beverages for your own comfort.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

If you have any questions about this tour or your booking please contact the Eastern Utah Tourism & History Association at 435 630-3699, message us on Facebook.com/easternutahtourism or stop in at 96 N. Carbon Avenue, Price, Utah.
